This video teaches you how to use the psychological powers behind the ‘either, or’ principle to get someone to do what you want (:
So, how do you get someone to do what you want? I know, the first two things that come into mind is bribing them with an infinite supply of white chocolates and approaching a witch to get some black magic cast on them – extremely common, don’t worry about it. Anyway, today i’ll be teaching you a method you can use to get someone to do what you want. Psyched up? Alright let’s go
Either, Or
I call this the ‘either, or’ technique. Sounds like a primary school english lesson yeah? Well, it’s not. This actually leans towards a psychology lesson more than anything else. Here’s how this works. Instead of asking someone, your girlfriend, boyfriend or uhm.. hamster, “Which movie do you wish to watch?” , which would leave you open to the potentially devastating and definitely life shortening movie choices like watching Twilight and Edward Cullen’s unbearable gayness for guys and i’m not being bias here, but the unappreciated goodness of transformers, for girls. Seriously, how can anyone not love Optimus Prime?! Anyway, the way you should be phrasing this is to supply your partner two choices which are both in your favor, for example, if you are up for action packed movies, the question you should be posing is “we could either watch Die Hard 4 or Transformers 2, which do you prefer?” Using this technique, you are actually eliminating all other choices that you don’t favor i.e non-action packed movies like Legally Blonde or Revolutionary Road, and leaving your partner with 2 choices, Die Hard 4 and Transformers 2, which are both in your favor no matter the choice made.
Go Forth & Use Your Powers Wisely!
With this knowledge in mind, you can achieve your desirable choices ranging from anything like the type of restaurant you wish to eat at to which chapter of the Karmasutra you wish to practice (psst chapter 7!)
Cheers to your newly acquired persuasive powers! (:
Yours sincerely,
Desmond L.
